Hobart and William Smith Colleges
Hobart and William Smith College is an independent liberal arts college located in Geneva New York in the heart of the Finger Lakes region approximately one hour from the Rochester Airport. The focus of this unique, small school, with an enrollment just under 2400, is to foster creative thinking and intellectual curiosity through a two college system.

Transportation: Fly into either Rochester or Syracuse airports. If you’ll be using online directions or GPS navigation to navigate to campus, your destination address should be 51 Saint Clair St., Geneva, NY 14456. This will direct you to the visitor parking lot. Stay: Close to campus check in at the Belhurst Castle, approximately a 5-minute drive. Another good option is Geneva on the Lake, an elegant small resort. Right on campus is the William Smith Inn. Book in advance as they only have five rooms.
Coffee: Enjoy your morning brew at Opus, which is located a half mile from campus. Their Mocha espresso is made with Ghirardelli chocolate.
Breakfast: Serving breakfast and lunch, students head to popular Water Street Cafe. Try the fresh OJ and waffles at The Finger Lakes Lounge. If you are looking for NY style bagels, head to Bagels and Cakes for their signature bagels as well as other breakfast favorites!
Lunch: Students rave about the pizza at Cam’s New York Pizza. You can always find great burgers, wraps and sandwiches at Eddie O'Briens. For the best subs in Geneva, head to Mombergers.
Dinner
Casual: Neighborhood gastropub, Red Dove Tavern serves an eclectic menu paired with local beers. Serving lunch and dinner, Beef and Brew offers American and Irish fare. Students recommend the Beef and Brew Stew. Ports Cafe offers an International menu that will appeal to everyone.
A Step Up: If you have one dinner, go to Kindred Fare. It is casual and charismatic serving excellent fare. Try Halsey’s for their wood fired pizza, house made breads and roasted entrees. Housed in a restored farmhouse, the Cobblestone Restaurant prepares reliable Italian dinners.
Late Night Snack: Long Pier Ice Cream has no indoor seating but offers inventive and delicious ice cream.
Local Attractions: Continuing a long tradition of selling farm fresh fruits and juices direct to the public, Red Jacket Orchard offers a curated selection of local and regional fruits, vegetables, cheeses and meats. In warm weather, Seneca Lakes Park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. In cooler months, Bristol Mountain offers skiers and snowboarders good trails.
